On Saturday 2nd April, textile artist Marion Robertson did a demo of using Markal paintsticks at the National Needlework Archive. About 10 people came to see the demo, some specifically because they would meet one of the participating artists.
Marion also took visitors round the exhibition in personal tours - explaining the work of the group and getting the viewer's reactions.
The concept of transformation was of interest and visitors were fascinated with how the artists have interpreted their individual garments. Visitors were excited by the idea that the exhibition is different from the usual textile exhibitions.
The show runs until 28th April - details of venue
If you miss it here, plans are underway to hopefully tour the exhibition to the West Country Quilt and Textile show in the autumn.
